Tugboat strike on Tuesday to disrupt operations at Piraeus Port

The 24-hour strike announced by the Panhellenic Union of Tugboat and Salvage Crew (PEPRN) connected Tuesday is expected to disrupt traffic astatine the Piraeus Port, excluding ferry services.

The strike will impact the departures and arrivals of cruise ships, instrumentality vessels, and tankers, arsenic they can’t dock and depart without tugboats.

However, ferry routes are not expected to beryllium affected.

According to PEPRN, the strike was called successful effect to delays successful the renewal of corporate labour agreements.
