State Leagues Victoria Men’s: Olympiacos is now just one step away from reaching the top

State League 1 – North West Group

Despite their best efforts, Western Suburbs couldn’t quite snag the full three points in their game against Strathmore, settling for a frustrating 1-1 draw. But never fear, next up they face off against Corio at home and will do everything in their power to avoid a loss and secure their spot for next season in the top division of the State Leagues.

Clifton Hill’s hopes were dashed with a 2-3 defeat on their own turf against Upfield. This week, they’ll be waging a “blue and white” battle in a historic derby against Yarraville. Doxa might need a morale boost after their 0-2 loss to Geelong last weekend before going head-to-head with Hill.

State League 1 – Southeast Group

Aris from Springvale South dominated Eltham Redbacks in a 1-0 triumph. Watch out, Gippsland United – the “yellow and black” are coming for you next!

Malvern City and Gippsland United engaged in a fierce battle on the field, resulting in a stalemate of 1-1. Despite the Greek-Australian team’s best efforts, neither team could clinch the victory, making them both settle for a single point.

State League 2 – North West Group

Westvale Olympic put on quite the show, securing a 2-0 win over the struggling Uni Hill Eagles. And now, they eagerly await their next victim: Hume United.

In a stunning display of superiority, the “black and white” PAOK from Altona East triumphed over Whittlesea with a solid 3-2 victory. This Greek Australian squad will now grace their turf once again as they welcome Lalor United. Game on!

Victory was claimed by Mill Park over Hoppers Crossing with a 2-1 triumph. Now, the “Pigeons” spread their wings and take their talents on the road against Albion Rovers this weekend.

State League 2 – Southeast Group

The Bayside Argonauts suffered a 2-3 loss on their home turf against Greater Dandenong, but their spot at the top of the standings is still as solid as a rock. They’ll be taking on the Peninsula Strikers for their last match of the season, looking to end the year with a bang.

The Bentleigh United Cobras easily slithered past Chisholm United in their derby, crushing them with a 0-1 victory. Next up, the Cobras will be charming Mooroolbark on their own turf while the Oakleigh squad will be facing off against North Caulfield.

State League 4 – Eastern Group

In a victorious clash of the titans, Waverley Wanderers vanquished Monash City Villareal 2-0. Up next, a bold AEK will take on the royalty of Kings Domain.

State League 4 – Northern Group

Darebin United Apollon suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat against Fawkner. For the final match of the season, Apollon will host Docklands Athletic.

Despite scoring twice, West Preston still lost 3-2 to Mooney Valley Knights. Better luck next week when they’re hosted by Fawkner.

State League 5 – Eastern Group

In a glorious triumph, the East Kew warriors of Olympiacos dominated with a resounding 4-0 win over Glen Waverley. Next up, the “red and whites” will face off against the Templestowe Wolfes on foreign turf.

State League 5 – Northern Group

Keon Park easily brushed aside Tullamarine with a resounding 5-0 victory, leaving them feeling as deflated as a popped balloon. AEK will be preparing for a battle on their home turf as they take on Birrarung in a highly anticipated match-up this weekend.
