Samaras slams top court ruling upholding same-sex marriage

Antonis Samaras, Greece’s erstwhile blimpish premier minister, has criticized a determination by the Council of State upholding the constitutionality of civilian matrimony and adoption rights for same-sex couples.

In a ruling connected Friday, the country’s top administrative tribunal rejected a petition to annul provisions of Law 5089/2024, which legalized such unions.
