Parliament committee backs lifting Velopoulos immunity over defamation, insult charges

Parliament’s morals committee has recommended lifting the immunity of Kyriakos Velopoulos, person of the far-right Greek Solution party. The determination follows allegations of persistent nationalist insult and defamation linked to his behaviour passim 2025.

The committee’s proposal was reportedly unanimous – a people of enactment Velopoulos himself is said to person requested. The lawsuit originated from a suit filed by a campaigner of the Voice of Reason party.
