Over the past three years, the “Alliance for Wildlife,” created by 11 biology NGOs, has engaged successful respective projects.
Examples see the state of the nesting sites of the loggerhead oversea turtle, the hybridization of wolves and dogs, a database of animals killed, injured oregon poisoned by quality activity, and an accusation run directed astatine authorities and fishermen connected endangered sharks.
“Greek biodiversity includes much than 50,000 carnal species, of which 4,000 are endemic,” said Panagiota Maragou, caput of conservation astatine WWF Greece. Nearly 1,000 species, two-thirds of them invertebrates, are endangered.
The confederation includes NGOs Anima, Archelon, Callisto, the Hellenic Ornithological Society, the Society for the Protection of Biodiversity successful Thrace, the Society for the Protection of Prespa, the Hellenic Institute of Speleological Research, iSea, Medasset, Tethys Research Institute and WWF Greece.
