Greek Parliament committee   recommends suspending backing  for far-right Spartans party

The Greek Parliament’s morals committee has overwhelmingly recommended suspending state backing for the far-right Spartans party.

All enactment representatives connected the committee voted successful favour of the decision, but for two lawmakers from the Spartans and the ultraconservative Niki (Victory) party.

The proposal comes aft a caller amendment by the Interior Ministry that allows Parliament to suspend backing for parties associated with individuals convicted under specific transgression provisions, pending judicial review.

Currently, astir €450,000 successful state funds are pending disbursement to governmental parties, a information of which was allocated to the Spartans.

Eleven members of the Spartans enactment are accused of deceiving voters and supporting a convicted transgression organization. Prosecutors allege that the MPs person ties to Ilias Kasidiaris, a jailed subordinate of the now-defunct neo-fascist Golden Dawn party.
