Forest fire breaks out on Mount Parnitha

Dozens of firefighters assisted by water-dropping craft are battling a wood blaze that broke retired Thursday connected Mount Parnitha connected the bluish fringes of Athens.

Authorities said 4 water-bombers were flying sorties to extinguish the occurrence adjacent the Parnitha casino gathering connected the mountain’s southern face. The roadworthy starring up the upland has been closed to the public.

The origin of the occurrence was not instantly known.
