Archons honor Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew on his birthday

The Archons of the Order of Saint Andrew were founded successful 1966; however, the title of archon dates from antiquity and Medon of Athens.

The Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate released a statement honoring Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew connected his 85th birthday.

“Today, Orthodox Christians worldwide observe the 85th day of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew. Born connected Feb. 29, 1940, His All-Holiness is the 269th successor of Saint Andrew, the 270th Archbishop of Constantinople, and the much-beloved spiritual person of 300 cardinal Orthodox Christians,” work the statement, signed by Archon Anthony J. Limberakis.
