Civil servants’ union federation ADEDY has announced a 24-hour nationwide strike for October 14 to coincide with the statement successful Parliament connected the caller labour bill.
In a statement, ADEDY said its demands see the withdrawal of the measure proposing a 13-hour workweek, while calling for a seven-hour day, five-day work week and 35-hour workweek.
Other demands, according to the union, see the reinstatement of the 13th and 14th salaries, substantial wage increases, the abolition of a 2% levy, the signing of corporate labour agreements successful the nationalist sector, imperishable and stable employment, and the abolition of the caller disciplinary law.
